1. Job summary
The Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to achieve and surpass sales targets, develop effective sales strategies, and ensure growth in our corporate catering marketplace.
The ideal candidate should be an experienced leader, excelling in communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills. They must be customer-oriented and lead by example to encourage team members to achieve sales objectives.
2. Responsibilities and duties
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead the sales team, overseeing daily activities and setting performance goals.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings to assess the progress of the team and implement strategies for improvements.
Training and Development
- Develop and deliver a training program that equips the sales team with necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Run regular coaching sessions and provide feedback to individual team members to improve their skills and sales performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team.
Financial Modeling
- Use financial modeling to set realistic but challenging sales targets, and ensure the team's activities align with these targets.
- Monitor team and individual performance, reporting on sales results (profit and loss statements, sales and expense reports etc.)
- Collaborate with the finance team to establish pricing strategies that maximize profits and market share while ensuring customers are satisfied.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop effective sales strategies that resonate with our target market and ensure the team's alignment.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Be actively involved in securing large or complex sales deals.

- Motivate team members to exceed expected goals.
- Implement incentives to encourage a competitive yet collaborative team environment.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Team Leader or similar role in sales.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field.
